Floating To the End

Watercolor and pencil on paper. 9x11
This is an image I did for my sister. The idea behind it is that this women has died and is floating down a river to death as. The irises are representative of death rather than a hooded figure.
The flowers are a harbinger of death. She is dropping them in the river as she approaches the end of the river. I wanted it to be sad and yet peacful, because death all comes to us and hopefully we can all aproach it with grace.

Commission Miniature Portrait

I am currently taking on commissions to paint miniature portraits of people or pets. I paint on antique ivory, mammoth ivory, or Bristol paper board. I then frame miniatures to a style I think best displays the portrait.

Portraits vary in price depending on size and surface the portrait is painted on, here is a rundown of costs-

(sizes are an approximate)
3x2 portrait on antique ivory $200.00.

3x2 portrait on mammoth ivory $200.00

3x2 portrait on Bristol board $150.00

Please dont hesitate to contact me via email to discuss ideas or desires you might have for me to commission and I begin creating your very own unique miniature portrait heirloom.
